Nature and natural elements are a very important for Feng Shui decorating, and plants are very easy to incorporate. It doesn't really matter if the plants are plastic plants, as long as they make us feel the nature. Even when real live plants are preferred, if for any reason you can't have them, go ahead with plastic plants. You can find inexpensive ones, that can "live" for life, and don't need any maintenance. However living plants have much more natural power and they also help the environment, making them a great addition to your rooms.
Use different types of plans to archive different looks in your home. Depending on the use of the room, some plants are more suitable that others. For example for active spaces, such as the kitchen or the office plants with spines like cactus or with sharp ends like palms work well. However for relax spaces such as the bedroom avoid this kind of plants and use the ones with rounded edges.
For outside the house is good to have plants or trees in front of the doors, to it protect from bad energies flowing inside.
These are the most basic rules about using plants in our Feng Shui decorating, very easy to apply so if you are still not making use of them don't lose more time. You will feel more comfy in your place for a relative cheap price. I personally enjoy watering my plants, and see how they grow, but if for some reason you can't have living plants, plastic ones are totally fine.
